First and foremost, I am a TRUE born and bred New Yorker. I am also an entrepreneur and mom to two young children. I run a household and manage my personal real estate business. I am constantly at grips with the struggles that women face daily to manage not just our personal lives and careers, but our family and children’s lives, our homes, our partners, and our other relationships. Women face so much pressure and it is hard to keep it together. It’s easy to feel like once you tie up the lose ends in one place, another part of life becomes frayed and unraveled. Hence, Home Unraveled.

From a very early age I have always loved writing. I was introduced to sharing my work at the age of 11 when my 6th grade teacher had us write in Journals that she would read and critique. Since then I always loved writing and sharing my thoughts with others. While I was in college I got my New York State Real Estate License, thinking this would be an easy way to make money since I loved Real Estate and had loved working retail sales through High School. At the City University of New York’s Hunter College, I completed a double major in Journalism and English Literature hoping my passion would lead to a a career writing for one of my favorite women’s fashion magazines.

Instead, I joined the fashion industry in the wholesale manufacturing side of things. I worked for the sales and production team of a private label manufacturer. It was a fast paced environment, I learned a lot, and I made lifelong friends in the process. I also realized that working for someone else was not meant for me.

In the meantime, I met my now husband while in my Sophomore year of college. Since we met our mutual passion for travel and food has flourished. We have since been travelling the world together, visiting over 20 countries in 15 years. We even got to live abroad in Madrid, Spain for almost 3 years due to an amazing job opportunity for my husband. We love ecotourism and exploring new cultures. We also love food and have had the opportunity to dine at some of the best restaurants in the world.

We now live together in the NYC suburbs of Westchester, NY where we look forward to raising our two daughters to love and care for each other and share in our passion for exploring the world.
